The building society is recruiting!

hi! my name is richard lester my minecraft name is azuchisamurai and i am writing this to start recruiting for the building society.

the building society is effectively a group of like minded indeviduals who love awsome and brilliantly built projects and buildings who also strive to improve the overall quality of the buildings on the server this society is also intended to be a playerbase run authority to help settle land disputes between players help organise community projects and assist new players in getting started and searching out for abandoned land and eyesores to either clear building land for new players or to help improve the landscape.

one of the main ways we will do this is with the "building society weekly competitions" you can find the details on this thread http://www.emmz.com/threads/a-weekly-building-competition.1701/

i require at least 3 people from each world (except sandbox thats specifically for competitions anyway) in this sense the main purpose is to help advertise the competition sort through any and all nominations to determine whether or not the nomination fits the area and whether or not it stand sup to the standards of the server and the building society then placing a notification of nomination and inspect the building itself placing a out of 10 score of the various areas of judging at this point by the end of the week i or a society representative will pass on the judging results to skorghijl who will then judge the top winners.

we will also look about the various lands and builds on our respective worlds on either preapproved time and days for the rounds or when someone reports a build of questionable quality or that they deem to be an eyesore judging the build in question on server and society building regulations.

this does of course mean i require people who have been on the server for some time has some or exceptional building skills or has an eye for detail.

your looking for about 3 people with good building skills ? thats pretty much all of them (Think about it)
and want them to go around deleteing eyesores ? thies 3 people will be my new hero's ! a shame human life span isnt
long enuff to clear half the eye sores ive seen ,and ive only really looked around Lucky valley and a little bit of New hollow :/ sorry if that offends alot of people but the boxhomes with dirt floors and unfinished crap makes me sick

also like to add - good luck ,id love to see you destroy hundreds of shit builds -however i dont build near the shit builds so i never see them any more ,hence i spend my time building my own shit with good builders and cellan .... lol

if you would be willing i would be happy to welcome you in if you feel you match any of the criterea required

just as an update as the building competition is unlikely to be approved judging from the 2 "blocks" in the main thread i am refocusing the building society to specifically tackle land disputes eyesores and landscaping of the smp worlds

we can also organise player held events and help handle most of the player base issues/requests as best we can

i think you should just start a thread, judge it yourself, and post screen shots of the best buildson the server - get support from someone willing to dish out a prize like Skorghy ,and just grab life by the balls,and take this matter into your own hands for now

My area of strength...Im alright at building castles i guess or massive builds.

I will give the prizes out. I totally approve of this. Actually we are currently discussing something rather similar among the staff. Not the competition part but the looking for eyesores etc so I am very happy to see that someone has taken the initiative to start something we were planning on doing anyways early. Gives us staff a head start on who to look for.

the competition i intend to work like the opposite of the work on eyesores to help encourage people to work better on their construction when outside the sandbox i also intend to publish a set of building regs that outline some regulations and pointers to making a good looking buildings and to help outline what consitutes an eyesore

which i intend to put forward through the staff for approval and any alterations that are nessesary
